AIRCRAFT COLOURS AND MARKINGS OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR ERA

No 7 Eskadra "Kosciuszko"

Most well-known of the Polish squadrons would have to be the 7th Fighter Squadron. Originally formed under the former Austrian Air Service ace, Stefan Stec, later they comprised American volunteers under Cedric Fauntleroy (ex-94th AS USAS).

For a detailed account of the Americans service I recommend the book Flight of Eagles by Karolevitz and Fenn.
