by Marc Milner
University of Toronto Press, 1985
Hardcover 326 pages

This is the story of Canada's navy in WW2 amd the part it played in escorting the convoys between North America and Great Britain. The problems in building, manning and then keeping the corvette fleet at sea and the squabbles between various authorities are all described. Also covered are the technical developments of radar, HF/DF, and other modifications needed by the corvettes, and the reasons why they were delayed.

I have read this book twice within the last year, and find it to be most informative
