Many years ago I came across an advertisement for this book in either SSM or Sea Classics. It was one of the very first items I purchased by mail order, and I have never regretted doing so. At the time I thought I knew everything there was to know about Flowers from this book. It is well-written with plans for the short focsle HMCS Edmunston, plus tables showing formulas for matching RN/RCN naval colours, liting of all commanding officers and six profiles showing some of the schemes carried by these ships. It should be noted that many of the captions detailing colours are now quite suspect, as are the paint mix formulas. It is much easier to just get some of the WEM Colourcoat paints.

You will probably recognize the ship on the cover as the source for my title page watercolour - HMCS KItchener

Although long out of print, it is still readily found via sites such as ABEBOOKS.com for around $15-20
